Hi! My name is Amy Fitchett, and I am THRILLED to be your child’s teacher. I believe that together, we can ensure that your child will grow and thrive as a learner, student, and citizen. My goal is to have your child feel safe to ask questions, practice inquiry, and love learning.
Introducing Amy Fitchett I have worked in education for 15+ years in a variety of capacities including: pre-school art and classroom teacher, student support assistant,second grade and fourth grade teacher, NC New Teacher Support Program coach, and adjunct faculty at UNC Charlotte teaching reading and language arts methods. I love being a teacher and am passionate about my role as an educator. I know from experience that you are the number one influence on your child, and it is critical that we collaborate and cooperate to ensure your child’s success. I have an open door policy and am always happy to talk. I also will be reaching out to you, as you are the expert on your child.

In addition to my role as a teacher, I am blessed to be a wife, mother, and student. I have a daughter who will be starting third grade this year, and my husband is an assistant dean at UNC Charlotte. Currently I am working on my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis elementary education in urban schools.
